Jack-Knife Doors
Ideal for factories, warehouses and petrol
stations among other applications, Coroma Jack Knife doors are non-protruding
and can be insulated for wine cellars or cold storage. They are easily
glazed to provide good interior light and maximum safety

- The Jack Knife door is made up of one panel, horizontally split and hinged into two equal leaves for the non-protuding door or the 1/3 x 2/3 split for the protruding canopy type door. The bottom leaf has side rollers running in vertical channel guides. Each roller has an independent cable attached to it. This runs through cable sheaves to the single counter-weight. The counter-weight tower is mounted on the inside of the opening against the wall next to the door.
- The doors are custom crafted to suit openings up to a maximum of 7m wide by 4.5m high. Consult the Coroma design office for doors outside these parameters.
- The door cladding can be matched to the roof sheeting, the factory’s fascia or cladding, or as specified by the architect.
- Smaller doors are hand operated with a pull stick. Larger doors may be hand crank operated on request. Jack Knife doors are not motorised.
